So every week I figured it would be nice to keep track of what is going in a quick summary. We are offically at week 8 as of today.
How far along? 8 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: -1 lb from the day we found out, even though I am insanely bloated
Maternity clothes? I can't button my work pants so I am using the Bella Band to hold up my pants and I am having to wear baggy shirts for the most part
Stretch marks? Nope and I would be ok if I went the whole time without them
Sleep: I have been exhausted and taking naps almost everyday
Best moment this week: Telling all of our family and friends
Movement: None at this point...we have a while
Food cravings: none at this point
Labor Signs: Nope..Many weeks away from this.
What I miss: Waking up without feeling nauseous
What I am looking forward to: My first appointment with the doctor next Thursday
Weekly Wisdom: Eat crackers before getting out of bed
Milestones: Nothing big this week
This is what baby is up to this week!
How your baby's growing:
New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

Update and HUGE News!
So the first update is that we are closing on the house this afternoon. At about 3pm we should own our first home!
Scroll down for more!
And while we are very excited to be owning our new home, we are even more excited to finally announce that one of the other bedrooms will soon be filled with a BABY! We are expecting our first little one (and there is only one in there!) on Febuary 5, 2010!
I am about 7.5 weeks pregnant and we have been waiting until after we had our first appointment to actually announce it to the world! We are both beyond thrilled as are all the grandparents to be!
We have a few sonogram pictures from our first appointment to share!

Final Walk through!
We did our final walk through this morning! Everything looks great! The inspector went out yesterday and checked the 3 things we asked them to fix and said everything looked great. The seller's were all packed up and ready to move out on Tuesday! We also got our forms from the lender saying how much we will owe at closing and it is significantly less than we were expecting! So on Monday we will be getting a cashier's check and heading to the title company to get everything signed. It looks like we will be getting the keys on Monday after we sign, or at least one key. So Wednesday we can head over there to check it out when it is empty and start cleaning!
Josh is going to be painting a few rooms so he will get started on that in the next couple of weekends before we get all moved in!
Now for a picture with our SOLD sign!

Closing time set!
We got word yesterday that we will be closing on Monday June 22nd at 2:30pm. We will have a final walk through of the house to check to make sure they fixed the 3 things they were supposed to fix. We will get the keys on Wednesday the 24th, hopefully in the evening since we both have to work (you know, to make money to pay our mortgage!). We have started packing a few things here and there and as the date to close gets closer we are more confident having the house actually be ours!
We are just waiting on a few more details, like how much we are going to be paying at closing (bye bye savings account!). Other than that we shouldn't have any more details to deal with before closing.
We have started shopping for a few things for the house, a refrigerator and some rugs, but we cannot make any big purchases until after closing. So we are pretty much just waiting until next week to do anything. It sort of feels like our life is on hold until that is done!
The next update I will probably post will be about closing, so look for that in about 6 days!

Appraisal News
We just heard from our mortgage broker that our appraisal came back and was more than what we are paying for the house! That is great news for us because it means we are going to automatically have some equity in the house the day we get it. Other than that we have just been getting all of our paperwork in order and every couple of days I get an e-mail asking for something else. In the past week or so we have probably faxed about 70 pages worth of information over to them!
So as of today we have less than 2 weeks before we own the house! We have decided to move on July 15th, which will give us some time to get in there and paint a couple of rooms (the salmon pink in the front bedroom has to go! And we are taking volunteers to help, any takers?). We have started planning things we need to buy to move in. We have to buy a refrigerator, we want to get a room size carpet for the living room (which apparently to get what we want we have to have it made), and we need a table for the breakfast nook. Of course we have a whole list of other things that we would like to get but those three are at the top of the list right now.
This weekend we were down in the San Antonio and Austin areas for wedding and visiting friends and family. I have some good pictures but I am too tired to post all of them today, I will work on that tomorrow! It was definitely a very fun, but long and exhausting weekend for us. We have a few more busy weekends this month and I am betting they will fly by. Time seems to move more quickly each year and we seem to have more to cram into that time each year!
Be on the lookout for lots of pictures in the next couple of days!
