37 Weeks full term!

Don't forget to vote on Owen's birthday and stats!

How far along? 37 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +35lbs
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: I slept really well this week. Like woke up in the morning in the same position I fell asleep in. Makes for a painful wake up but the sleep is awesome
Best moment this week: Sleeping well!
Movement: Still moving a lot
Food cravings: Bagels
Labor Signs: Lots of contractions, they have been timable a few times this week. Dr said 1 cm this week and said she wasn't expecting him to come this weekend (or before I saw her again)
What I miss: Not being so swollen!
What I am looking forward to: Hopefully having sometime off of work before Owen makes his appearance!
Differences from 1st pregnancy: Not dilating as early

36 Weeks

How far along? 36 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +34lbs...stayed the same this week
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: Varies, since it hurts to turn over I tend to stay on one side for a long time which makes other things hurt so I have to flip over. Some nights I stay asleep all night but don't feel like I actually got a good night sleep which is annoying
Best moment this week: Getting the car seat base installed and moving Jake's car seat
Movement: Still moving a lot, I was slightly concerned that he had flipped head up because of all the crazy movements
Food cravings: Nothing really this week
Labor Signs:  Lots of contractions, I assume still BH. No dilation or effacement at this point
What I miss: Sleeping on my belly. I have woken up a few times this week to laying mostly on my belly
What I am looking forward to: Getting to April 1! He just needs to stay put until at least then.
Differences from 1st pregnancy: Different worries about labor and delivery and getting to the hospital
Milestones: Weekly appointments!

Spring Break

Last week was Josh's spring break. We had a few things planned, but somehow it turned into a very busy and therefore very quick week! We headed to the zoo on Tuesday. We rode the train down in the morning, spent the majority of the day there, then headed home on the train. I should definitely remind myself that the zoo at 34.5 weeks pregnant is difficult and to never try to do it alone! The hills were difficult and there was no way I could chase Jake around when we went to the children's zoo after almost 4 hours of walking up and down hills. We did get a bunch of errands run throughout the week, got both cars washed and vacuumed, and....put the car seat base in my car and moved and turned Jake's carseat. It turned out to be a gorgeous week so we tried to spend a lot of time outside. Josh and Jake did the car washing, well Josh washed the car, Jake played with the hose and made it more difficult for Josh to dry the car since he kept spraying it. We did some more laundry for Owen, we are mostly ready at this point. I still need to get the monitor and find him an outfit to come home in and finish packing our hospital bag. We have been talking to Jake about what will happen when Owen is born in terms of going to the hospital (we are planning on him being at the hospital when Owen is born), Josh and I being at the hospital overnight, and what it will be like when Owen comes home. He is mostly excited, today he was telling our friend that Owen will be here in 3 weeks and that he is so excited, but he was less excited about us staying at the hospital today (although yesterday he was fine with it).

Josh has been going to PT for his hand for the past 2 weeks. His therapist told him he is much further along than she would expect, which is great news. Hopefully he will be out of the splint by the end of next week! We head to my 36 week appt tomorrow afternoon and after that we will be going in weekly. I'm not sure how we got to this point so quickly. It seems like this part kind of snuck up on us! We will be finishing getting ready for Owen to come this weekend. My last day of work is April 6th, so I am hoping he hangs out in there at least until then!

35 weeks/35 days

How far along? 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +34lbs
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: Good when I am asleep. Very painful now when I have to turn over
Best moment this week: Jake being sweet with my belly/Owen and sharing his blankie. He covered up my belly when I was cuddling in bed with him and he wanted to make sure Owen was all the way covered and tried to make me take it with me when I left.
Movement: He still moves a lot, but I don't get so many hard jabs, mostly rolling around. Same this week, but I did get a few jabs that hurt!
Food cravings: Milk
Labor Signs:  Still lots of BH
What I miss: Walking without pain...the intense crotch pain I had with Jake had been limited to when I was in bed, but this week has returned to most of the time I am up doing things
What I am looking forward to: Getting everything finished and ready for Owen's arrival!
Differences from 1st pregnancy:
Milestones: Does crotch pain count as a milestone? We did determine that my pain has a name SPD, it is all the ligaments in my pelvis just becoming really loose which makes my pelvis unstable causing pain. There is really nothing that can be done for it, but since I had it with Jake too, I know as soon as Owen is born the pain is gone.

He was poking Owen. He thinks that is a fun game.

34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +31lbs
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: I have been waking up a few times a night to flip to my other side, it is a process at this point. Fortunately I fall right back asleep
Best moment this week: Baby shower
Movement:  He still moves a lot, but I don't get so many hard jabs, mostly rolling around
Food cravings: Bagels
Labor Signs:  More frequent BH this week
What I miss: Properly fitting clothes. I have clothes that cover my belly now, but I had to get a size bigger so they are big everywhere else
What I am looking forward to: Spring Break this week!
Differences from 1st pregnancy: Feeling more tired at the end of the day and generally just ready to sleep as soon as I lay down(I don't think this is neccessarily different, just more evident since I am trying to keep up with a 3 year old daily)
Milestones: I started washing diapers!

Baby Shower and Other Happenings

I had my baby shower yesterday. It was at our house this time which was nice since we didn't have to take all the gifts home, but hard because it meant our house had to be super cleaned. Grammy came over Friday to help me finish cleaning and start setting up. And Jake was also super exicted that he got to see Grammy 3 days in a row this week. The shower was also small so I got to visit with everyone. I got some really cute personalized things for him which I love! We didn't really need much for him, just a few things for the nursery and some breastfeeding and pumping supplies and a few other random things that weren't around when Jake was born, so we upgraded a few things. I just need to get the monitor, a few more things for nursing, a new carrier, and a few more things for diapers then we will be set!

Josh took Jake down to the park during the shower. Of course when he got back, after playing shy for a few minutes, he was a ham and laid right in the middle of the living room. He was very excited that Owen got his own blankie, but he wanted to play with it, then said he would share his blankie with Owen when he was born. Such a sweet big brother already!

We have been busy around here once again. I have been going to the dr every 2 weeks, Josh's last appointment for his hand was the same day as my last appointment, Josh is starting therapy on Friday, and Jake and I have been doing stuff around the house, running errands, and when the weather is nice, enjoying that. We have 6-7 weeks until Owen arrives so I will be busy finishing washing clothes, bedding, blankets and diapers for the next few weeks! It is weird that we can now say we will have a new baby NEXT month!

33 Weeks

A little late this week. I had my shower today so I have been busy this week/weekend. I will update about the shower sometime this week!

How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +30lbs....no change this week
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: I wake up to turn over usually. And sometimes I can fall right back asleep but sometimes it takes a while
Best moment this week: I got some new clothes that cover my belly!
Movement: All the time.
Food cravings: Bagels
Labor Signs:  More painful BH
What I miss: Getting up and down off the floor easily. It is fine at home, but always awkward when I am at work and have to get up off the floor
What I am looking forward to: Seeing how Jake is with Owen once he is born. He is really sweet with him most of the time now.
Differences from 1st pregnancy: I don't remember my heart rate getting so high so easily with Jake
Milestones: People at the gym starting to freak out that a pregnant girl is working out. I got a couple of comments in the class I take this week.
