32 weeks

How far along? 32weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +30lbs.
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: Mostly good with a couple of rough moments this week
Best moment this week: Nursery is basically done!
Movement: All the time.
Food cravings: No real cravings this week
Labor Signs: Lots of BH
What I miss: Having a variety of clothing that covers my belly.
What I am looking forward to: Baby shower next weekend
Differences from 1st pregnancy: Slightly more weight gain at this point, I am still blaming that on swelling since the number varies day to day
Milestones: My belly not being able to be covered completely by maternity shirts.

And a bonus picture of a very cute boy with his best friend Buzz Lightyear

31 Weeks

How far along? 31 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +28lbs.
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: I am sleeping pretty great
Best moment this week: Seeing the nursery getting closer to being ready
Movement: All the time.
Food cravings: No real cravings this week
Labor Signs: Lots of BH
What I miss: Not being so swollen!
What I am looking forward to: Holding Owen. I got to hold a newborn this week (who was significantly smaller than Owen will be) and she was so precious!
Differences from 1st pregnancy: This ridiculous swelling did not happen with Jake. I have gained 4lbs in a week and I haven't eaten enough to make that happen! I cut out any extra sodium and have been drinking a ton of water but nothing seems to be really working.
Milestones: No real milestones this week

30 Weeks

A little late this week. We had a rough end of the week last week. Starting with a night of vomiting and no one sleeping, then a broken bone, then ending with pink eye. Fortunately, Saturday was better when we got our taxes done and had much better than expected results. Sunday we got everything hung up in Owen's room, it took a while, but it got done and looks fabulous!

How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +24lbs.
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: I am sleeping pretty great minus the night Jake was sick this week
Best moment this week: Seeing Owen, although we didn't have the good u/s tech so we didn't get as good of pictures. But Owen is measuring EXACTLY the same as Jake did at 30 weeks. I am going to bet he is going to come out looking and weighing the same as Jake.
Movement: All the time.
Food cravings: No real cravings this week
Labor Signs: Lots of BH, I only expect these to get more frequent
What I miss: Being able to get out of bed without pain!
What I am looking forward to: Getting things hung up in the nursery this weekend
Differences from 1st pregnancy: Nothing this week
Milestones: 3/4 of the way done with pregnancy!

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +22lbs.
Maternity clothes? Maternity everything unless I am just hanging out at home
Stretch marks? Still nothing new
Sleep: I slept great almost every night this week.
Best moment this week: My Thirsty Thursday friends had a little shower for the 3 of us that are pregnant and the things they got were amazingly cute!
Movement: All the time.
Food cravings: No real cravings this week
Labor Signs: Lots of BH, I only expect these to get more frequent
What I miss: Being able to get out of bed without pain!
What I am looking forward to: U/S this week
Differences from 1st pregnancy: We are not counting on having the entire 40 weeks to prepare for Owen
Milestones: If Owen comes at the same time as Jake we have 10 weeks left, I don't know if that is a milestone but it is definitely a whoa this is actually happening moment!

And since I haven't done one this time around, a comparision: 19 weeks and 29 weeks, then 29 weeks with Jake and 29 weeks with Owen

Happy 3rd Birthday Jacob!

Happy Birthday sweet boy! 3 years ago we welcomed you into the world and you became our world. You amaze us everyday with the new things you learn and come up with. We love your sense of humor and love laughing with (and sometimes at) you daily! You bring so much fun and excitement to our world. Even at your most stubborn and frustrating moments, I love seeing what new excuse or idea you are going to come up with. We can't imagine not having you just as you are in our lives and we can't wait to see what a wonderful big brother you are going to be! Love you big boy!

Birthday Party

Jake's 3rd birthday party was today. Apparently he is turning 3 soon, I am in denial that we will have a 3 year old. I mean really, a 3 year old?! How did he get to be 3?! A 3 year old and a new baby?! Are we even old enough to have 2 kids? Sometimes I just can't fathom that we are. Of course, I wouldn't trade any of it for anything, but still, wow.

So back to the party. We had decided to have it someplace other than our house this year since we couldn't count on the kids being able to go outside and they aren't quite old enough to do party activities or games so it would just be crazy with not much to do for 8-12 kids. We picked a bounce house place, basically a place that is just a bunch of bounce houses, provides all the tableware, party attendents, clean up, etc. Jake loves bounce houses so this worked. The place has 2 rooms of bounce houses, so we got to spend 40 minutes in the first room, 40 minutes in the second room, then we had 40 minutes in the party room for cake and presents. Jake was running from the moment we got into the first room. He loved playing with all of his friends and lots of the dads (and a couple moms and one grammy) got in on all the action. The kids all played well together and I think everyone had fun! Jake was a sweaty mess by the time we were done playing. We headed in to eat some cake and open presents. We had purposely ordered a small cake for just Jake so that when he blew out the candles he didn't spit all over the cake, as he often spits when he tries to blow out candles. Of course today after everyone sang to him (and he sang to himself) he blew out all the candles in one blow with no spitting. I think he still enjoyed his cake though! He took his sweet time opening presents but loved everything he got. He was also in love with his Buzz Lightyear balloon. He was still going wild when it was time to leave and all the way home.

Overall I say it was a success!

(I am working on uploading all the pictures, I will add some tomorrow!)
