10 Weeks

Not much new this week. We are headed to Denton, America tomorrow for my alumni meet, Josh's alumni game, and a football game. It will be a fun and busy day! Hopefully it wears Jake out and he sleeps great tomorrow night since he won't be getting a nap or much down time at all!

9 Weeks

We've had a very uneventful week this week. Just hanging out (me) and doing lots of playing around the house (Jake). Josh has been wonderful the past week and a half or so when I have been feeling particularly awful at night. The sight of raw food and cooking food is not pleasant right now, and I feel the worst in the evening right now so Josh has been doing all the cooking and cleaning in the evenings after working all day. That is a great husband!

How far along? 9 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: -1 lb
Maternity clothes? Already in maternity pants for work and some sort of stretchy shorts, skirts, and dresses at home. And soon need to switch bathing suits for swimming workouts, eek!
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Having some crazy dreams that sometimes prevent me from feeling like I got a good nights rest
Best moment this week: Technically this was last week, but letting everyone know we are expecting a new addition
Movement: None
Food cravings: Nothing, but I am eating constantly so I don't feel sick
Labor Signs: Nope
What I miss: Being able to actually walk through the grocery store at a leisurely pace
What I am looking forward to: My next appt so we can see baby again
Differences from 1st pregnancy: Eating food
Milestones: No real milestones this week

Cars, cars everywhere!

Jake has a ton of cars, and trucks, and trains. He loves them. They are usually the first toys dumped out in the morning. Lately he has been loving lining them up and racing them. Today he actually lined them up for a birthday party, complete with a plate for cake and a balloon. But usually he likes to line them ALL up on the back of the couch. He knows if one is missing so then we have to search the house for it. Sometimes they race or sometimes they just hang out there for a while and he counts them randomly.

So proud of his hard work!

Quote

Tonight we went out to dinner with Grammy. Jake was sitting next to Grammy and was picking things off her salad, mostly the cheese. At one point he picked up a shredded carrot, thinking it was a piece of cheese, dipped it in ranch dressing, put it in his mouth and almost immediately made an awful face. Then he says "That was not cheese!" We all just laughed because it was hilarious. I only wish we had had a video camera rolling on that.
