Appointment and Ultrasound update

I had another appointment today. It was a two part appointment. We first went in and got and ultrasound to check for a risk of chromosomal abnormalities. That is a two part test and we should have the results in 10-14 days, but just from the u/s part everything looked good. At the beginning of the u/s Monkey was laying at the bottom of my uterus just hanging out and doing a little stretching. We saw it reach an arm up a couple of times. The tech needed Monkey to move so we could get the measurements needed for the test so after poking around for a while and monkey stubbornly not moving at all, she had me lay on my side for a minute to see if we could get some movement. When she went back to check Monkey had completely flipped around and was laying the same position on the other side of my stomach! But we got a lot more movement at that point! I don't think Monkey was happy that we were poking around at it and I swear threw its first fit! We saw Monkey throw its head back, arch its back and put its arms up. That was pretty cool to watch and the tech was able to get the measurements needed at that point so everyone was happy. The tech also tried hard to get a look between the legs to see if we could get some sort of guess on the sex but again being stubborn Monkey had its knees bent and wasn't moving from the bottom. (Although when we first started its legs were straight out, but as soon as the tech started moving the little sensor around the knees went up) So no educated guesses at this point! Once we went and saw the dr she wanted to hear the heartbeat too so we got to listen to that again which was really fun. I want one of those little dopplers so we can listen all the time! The dr said everything looked good and Monkey is measuring a day ahead of my due date (which won't change as it is most accurate at the very beginning of pregnancy). So we go back in 3 weeks (dr is out of town in 4 weeks) for another check up and 5-6 weeks for the next u/s where we should find out the sex!

So here are some of the pictures that we got today, none of the fit though!

This one is the baby looking forward, so you can see the eyes, mouth, and brain.

This is side view, at the bottom left you can see the legs and feet.

Another side view. Just to the left of Monkey's head is one of its hands and fingers.

Another side view (this is how baby sat most of the time). More feet in this one, you can tell its knees are bent so we can't see between the legs.
